Welcome to Vortex.Health. Our story is one of strength, resilience, and innovation, built on a foundation of service and dedication. Our founder, Gary V. Werner, is a proud Army veteran with an inspiring past spanning from 1968 to 1977. His journey took him to the grounds of PhoLou and LaiKai in Vietnam, led him to serve as a Medivac for Apollo 15, and propelled him to be a flight engineer for VIPs in Germany. His path then led to a crowning achievement: becoming the Crew Chief for General Omar Bradley at Normandy Beach in 1974.
In the trenches of Vietnam, Gary conceived an invention that transcended its humble origins to become an innovative fitness tool. With nothing more than two broken broom handles, laces from Army issued jungle boots, and a piece of plexiglass from a damaged helicopter windshield, the patented Vortex was born. Originally intended to warm up Gary's shoulders and upper body, this resourceful fitness invention soon displayed an unanticipated benefit – it offered relief from the stress and anxiety associated with PTSD.
The Vortex revolutionizes conventional notions of fitness and well-being. It not only helps to rev up your cardiovascular system, raise your body temperature, and increase blood flow to your muscles, but also holds the potential to reduce muscle soreness and lessen the risk of injury. The Vortex is more than a fitness tool – it is a testament to human spirit, a beacon of resilience and adaptation. It is about turning adversity into opportunity and discovering health benefits in unexpected places.
